Dining with splendor - Poltrona Frau, putting pizzazz back into dining- Dubai, UAE, 12th November 2006- For over 60 years, one name has been etched in the archives of the furnishing world as a symbol of perfection and a mark of distinction: Poltrona Frau. Continuing to define the standards of style, design and aesthetics, Poltrona Frau launched their new dining chair collection at Index 2006- heightening the dining experience. The Poltrona Frau head-turning stand replicated a stage set, showing different pieces each of the 4 days of the exhibition, suggesting new and different atmospheres and attitudes, all united by a modern, international taste. A simple approach which has become Poltrona Frau’s signature. The Laurana table designed by Enzo Mari, characterised by formal rigour and the purity of its component parts, was combined with the simple and elegant lines of the Liz chair in a tobacco-coloured version, or with an olive-green Lola, with its graceful, lightweight structure. Great attention to detail can be found in the Cornice table by Luca Scacchetti, with a distinguishing aluminium joint between the legs and tabletop. A powerful element that worked harmoniously with both the Victoria chair, with its delicate geometry and ivory tones, and the Avio model, in polar white and red, a futuristic design with a unique elastic back. Unveiled for the first time was the “Holly” lamp, a magnificent piece from their new lamp collection. Poltrona Frau perpetuates its mission of spreading the culture of beauty around the world as a value anchored to its own origins and history. A vision of luxury defined by quality, functionality and durability.
